Yesterday mornin on the way to work my truck just up and quit just like I had turned the key off. The first thought I had was "My turn for the infamous CPS failure after 140K on the original". Sop I walked 2 miles home in the rain and called the local International dealer in Colville and he said he had 2 of 'em.
The last he heard they were still $98.00. I asked him what color they were and explained to him about the new ones and how much cheaper they were.
When wifey and I got there theywere $17.93 apeice so I bought both of them. Got back to my truck,,laid in the mud in the rain and changed it out,,STILL WON'T START!!!!!!!!!DAMMITT!!!!!! So now I am checking fuel in the fuel bowl and eaverything else I could think of and found that fuse #30 was blown....replaced and it runs great again.
At least I won't have to keep thinkin about when tha CPS is finally gonna crap out

Is there a similar fuse for the OBS trucks, and if so is is possible that it could short out if you are running an elec. fuel system without the factory fuel bowl in the valley? Reason I ask is the same thing happened to me again this morning on the way to work. Last time I changed the cps and she fired right up and ran like a dream, that was sunday, then monday it ran fine. This morning super lopy idle, kinda flikering headlights and then she shut off? Had to have the wife take me to work this morning.

Probably the fuel heater fuse... unplug the fuel heater and see what happens. I think OBS has the fuel heater?

I have a OBS fuel bowl at home but dont remember

I unplugged the fuel heater about a year agooke: I've been running and electric set up for that long now, so everything normally hooked to the fuel bowl has been unhooked for a while now. Still might be the problem though??

Where is this number 30 fuse located? Is it under the hood or in the cab?

Every thing is doin good!!!!!!!! runs great, just finished puttin a set of Hella 550's on it.(tryin the Wally's 2-stroke oil also)...............
