Thought I would throw this out there, but a while back for a little while my truck wouldnt go into reverse like if I was in park and put it in reverse it didnt go anywhere gave it some gas and it poped and then it moved.

then sometimes if it doesnt move I put it back into park then reverse again and its fine. any ideas. Yellow Symbol Emoticon Emblem

Either a bad or junked up solonoid, or your snap ring broke for your reverse gear which was a recall a while ago. Does your OD work fine?

gotta learn to read the sigs, damn 5r110.

The snapring gets funky it gets bad and stays bad, I'd guess a sticking press cont solenoid, changed a whole bunch for what you described.

They are only like 35 bucks or so at the dealer, not bad to change other than you have to drop the vb to get it out.

I thought when you had low fluid level reverse was the first gear to go in a auto. I know my buddys pos chevy with a 700r4 that was what it was every time. thats cause he was too lazy to fix it or trade it for a ford.
