I had to break my t-case linkage to get it out of the truck, stock F350 E4OD so now I'm on the hunt for a new one. The truck is going to be a 5 speed. Can I use an auto linkage? I believe they bolt differently? Will it have to be from a 4407 or can it be from a 1356 Case?

Finally, in the even that I can't get a linkage, what position on the actual t-case is two low?

Thanks

Auto shifter bolts up the same. The link bar is shorter on the ZF than the auto but you can cut down and reweld. If you have the 4407 you need shifter for that as 1356 is different. There is no 2 low, only 2 hi, 4 hi, and 4 low.

IIRC, it's the reverse of the lever, so 2HI would be all the way toward the back. If it's still on the bench, throw it all the way over and turn the input shaft. If both outputs turn, but slower, it's in 4LO and you should throw the lever all the way the other way. If just the rear output turns, you're golden.

Huh?

The 1356 and 4407 have the same shifter and they both have 2wd Hi, 4wd Hi, neutral and 4low.

Like was stated above, the ZF5 has a shorter linkage bar
