The mechanic at work has a 08 F350 dually. He was running a loaded horse trailer up in to the hills around here and ran into an interesting issue. He would be maintaining his throttle position pulling a grade, but the truck would rev higher, hold speed, then drop down and still maintain same speed. This happened 5-6 times. This guy is no [email protected], so if he says his foot was steady it was.

We guessed that it was the converter unlocking to raise the RPM's and locking when it dropped. He also has had a "shudder" sometimes at speed that in his opinion is coming from the converter.

What's everyone thoughts on what could be going on? He has a Bullydog tuner that he transfered over from his 6.0 for free and is not happy with it, only used it a couple of times. It was not being used at the time of the issue. He has a delete kit for it and I've suggested 1000 times to get tunes from Innovative, especially since we live 15 minutes from Eric. I'd like to see if we can figure out this tranny issue so if he has to bring it back for warranty, he can do it now before the delete is in. Any thoughts are appreciated.
