Got this OBDII adapter,

Amazon.com: Bluetooth OBDII Scaner Adapter OBD 2 Car Code Reader Scan tool Check Engine Light Diagnostic Tool for Android Devices: Automotive

Grabbed torque pro, got the ford profiles.

Unless my key is turned all the way to heating the glow plugs it wont connect to the ECU. when it does connect to the ECU it will only connect for a short time then disconnect.

Truck wont start if torque pro and whatnot is connected...odd? Unplugged the bluetooth thing and it starts fine.

Had truck running then let it connect and it shut my truck off instantly ( Edit: I may have been messing with adding displays when that happend ). How is a reader messing with things?

I'm scared to use this at all now.

Been messing around with it more and browsing the google.

I'm done with it.

I have Issopro gagues for EGT and Trans Temp. Had an extra android tablet so I figured I would try this for some more info. not worth the hassle.

Likely the cheap adapter. Pretty normal for the shutoff while connecting.
You may need to change the settings.

same problem, cheap OBD device. the cheap ones usually do not work with diesels.
even the OBDLink MX device is borderline cheap for a diesel device, but it at least works.

Cool thanks. Good to know. Saw Diesel ron's video using the first one I bought.

Experimented enough. Not really a big deal.
