take a switch (single throw single pole) and run one end to a ground then take the wire from the other side of the switch and tap into a wire comming from the trans harness right under your drivers seat that is purple with a yellow stripe on it. use a clip on type wire tap. just dont forget to unlock it before comming to a stop, trust me i felt like a jackass. but it greatly improves transmission temp and economy around town. have fun!

The clip on type wire tap will let water in the wire and start corrosion. I would say use solder and shrink tube.

Wouldn't a lock up switch be pretty tough on a stock trans, or is it ok if used gently?

Please explain how this effective works and what benefits I will get. And the disadvantages, thanks I see lower Trans temps.

Would I use this while normal driving?
Around town?
On the freeway?
Pulling my 14' trailer?
Pulling my boat?
Pulling my 36' travel trailer?

Is the harness you are tapping into under the cab or inside it?

Awesome, glad I found out which wire it is. Now I need to figure out a switch that I can so I have it so it's locked, stock signal, and unlocked.
