Hey guys,

So I am getting pretty close to doing my build. As is stands, I have studs, oem head gaskets, rings, ported intake manifold (Thanks Nate), bullet proof water pump, BD exhaust manifolds, MBRP Y-pipe and turbo back exhaust all either in transit or on hand.

I already have a bullet proof FICM, delete, air intake, coolant filter and all the updates installed.

Just a few more things (they should seem pretty obvious to u guys).


But at what point do I need to upgrade my torque converter? With the tuning that's going to get done (yet to order it) will I need one ? And for those of you who went ahead and bought one, what brand is everyone using?

Are similar priced ones (in the $1000 range) all more or less the same?

And...

I am keeping stock sticks and the stock turbo. With that in mind, do I need to upgrade the HPOP? From what little bit of reading I did on this subject, it's only beneficial with larger injectors... true?

I have some other questions regarding tuning but I will just start a new post.

The stock hpop will supply far more oil than stock injectors could ever demand, just make sure it's a healthy pump.
