Any advantage over Shell Rotella?
I think, yes.

I've looked at a lot of oil samples (UOA's) comparing the two and DELO beats Rotella hands down every time.

Rotella has better marketing, but that doesn't mean it's better.

BTW DELO stands for Diesel Engine Lubricating Oil

I know my truck runs better on DELO. With Rotella it had the romps and was a lot rougher on cold start ups and louder when the oil needed changed.
I was talking with Joey about this and he'd heard the same thing from a lot of owners, saying their trucks run better on DELO.

I might get flamed because people just looooooove Rotella for some reason I can't figure out.
And it's not like it's terrible oil, DELO is just better IMO.

I cant believe i am saying this, but i agree with Gregrob about Rotella being making the engine louder when it is time for an oil change. I just changed my oil and it seems a little quieter. I dont know why i keep going back to Rotella, but i think my next oil change(when i get to Washington) will be with DELO 400. When i change it out, i will definitely let you guys know what i think of it. I used it before with my old IDI, but went to Rotella when i bought my Super Duty. So we will see. And Gregrob is right, you get what u pay for.

Any suggestions for online purchase of Chevron Delo (cough...time to plug a sponsor here, folks)

No Sams/Costco nearby. Walmart...but I have all my teeth, so they don't like me there.

LMFAO!!!! I don't know of any of our sponsors who sell DELO online. Might something to check into though.
It's hard to beat walfart, but I'll gladly pay a bit more to stay away from that place.

Of course Rotella doesn't "break" an engine overnight.
But if there is something better out there it's not fixing something that isn't broke, it's simply switching to something better so your engine has less wear.

Do a Used Oil Analysis comparing the two and see for yourself.
