Hi Guys,
Want to install an adjustable track bar but I have to remove a tie rod end.
I do all the work on my truck/cars, but never tie rods.

Can someone tell me how to do it and what tool and if i need to buy a new rubber seal for the grease?

I assume I need some kind of pickle fork? Can I get one for my air hammer? Can I get it at harbor freight tools? Is there a certain size?

Thanks,
Terry

I just hit the area that the tappered part of the tie rod fits into with a hammer a few times and it will pop it loose. Do not hit the threads on the rod end. Then you dont need to replace the grease boot or buy a pickle fork.

A gear puller also works good.
