ok. so i currently own a 7.3. BUT i came across a good deal on a 6.0, and was curious as to what you 6oh guys think. its an 04, 92000 miles, mbrp stainless turbo back exhaust, fx4, lariat, crew cab,very nice truck. they were asking 28999, im down to 24500 now. any suggestions? i noticed its really laggy at initial takeoff, but i figure it has something to do with being a 6.0, since every one i drove felt the same. i geuss im just to use to my instant spool up on my 7.3. so what do yall think? carfax came back clear on everything. no wrecks, no air bag deployments blah blah blah. so is it worth givin up the 7.3?

6.0 have variable vane turbos. At least in theory the spool on that turbo should be almost instantaneous. Compared to a 7.3 spool up should be much much faster.

The truck you are thinking of buying has a crap turbo/egr. Plan on spending a couple of grand to get it fixed really soon...

thats weird cause out of all the 6.0's i test drove, this one was the snappiest. maybee im too used to the DI chip/ww/ats housing/exhaust. and 37's.

yeah it seems laggy for like the first second, but then it pins you in the seat. who knows. anything i should look out for? and am i stupid for getting rid of the 7.3?

I really like mine but if I wanted a newer truck and i found a 6.0 for a good price I would buy one.

yea the price seems kinda high We just picked up an 03.5 6oh with 35,000mi for my girlfriend for 23000

You wont get them much below $24-$24,500...

well i now i jsut paid 26900 for my 6.0 and my was lifted 25s exhauust and yea there is a lil laging in the start but then it does move nothing big to worry about ive had no problems outa myne i would say its a good deal and guess i got screwed lol but owell i have a nice truck except for the damn rims lmao any one selling a set 36 or higher

the 6.0s that had problems were mostly 03 and 04s...granted not all did but alot did, not to say 05s didnt or 06s didnt..hell my 05 in the shop right now most likely getting a new egr cooler.

03/04 is recommended more than 05s for headstuds i know, other than that, doing the same mods to a 6.0 that you would a 7.3 (chip, exhaust, intake) you will easily push 400+ rwhp
