Hi my name is Josh and I live in MN. Im a new member to the forums and unfortunately a newbie to diesel motors. I have been watching YouTube videos from the 6.0doctor and dieseltechron and reading forum after forum trying to at least find something like my situation. I have a 2005 f350 4x4 with the 6.0. This is my first diesel and unfortunately I cant find anyone here around me competent enough to help figure this out.
The day this happened was pretty cold about 10 degrees it was a rougher start than normal but after it started it seemed ok. drove for maybe a block then it felt like it was losing power, I gave it gas and it surged forward then went back to losing power it surged forward then died...
Now I'm at crank no start, I went and bought the scangauge 2 the icp-v, ficm sync, ipr and fmp are all where they should be. The icp is 0 and cranking the icp is 0. every video or forum at least has some number and I know it needs 500 to fire, but with it being 0 I'm hoping I can maybe target the issue. also when I went through the basics of stuff it was almost a gallon low on oil which really surprised me because I'm always on top of the maintenance.
Thank you in advance
Josh

Any oil in the coolant (look for sludge in the degas bottle)?

Ok heres what I did today, I got the icp sensor out tried starting and nothing different. Working my way to get to the piri noticed where the cai attaches to turbo was not on. Next thing is the ficm I noticed the first to connectors were tight and the last one just kind of came off. Maybe it wasnt clicked in tight. Next the ficm says remanufactured so this has obviously been done before. Finally I got the ipr out it has also been replaced and I took a pic.
There was no sludge in the degas btw and on checking oil residue I not sure if I can do that by myself? I'm a bigger and its definitely challenging working on this. The truck is lifted so its constantly up and down a ladder.
Also if holding the ipr by the nut is it suppose to have play in it where the harness is?
Thanks for the help btw!!!

Have someone crank the truck over with the oil filter removed and make sure it fills up properly. Icp of 0 can only be one of a few things.
