Saw this the other day and thought it was kinda strange and different so I thought I would share it. Anybody else seen one? Why do they do it and whats the benefit of it? Purty sure this had a gas engine just judging by the size of the exhaust pipe and I think the badge said F-250.
Theoretically it would allow you to carry more weight. In NY you'd have a hard time finding someone to certify it for the additional weight, and that would be required by Dept. Motor Vehicles here. I'd be very surprised if the additional axle is driven or even has working brakes, there'would be a whole lot of machining and engineering to accomplish that.
