i am currently running rotella 15w40, and i am thinking i am goin to switch to t6 5w40 for the next change and possibly the rev-x additive or the AR9100, if i switch will i be safe to keep my 5k oci, and will it be ok to use this oil year round, i live in central pa (cold winters, hot summers) and the truck sits outside. I use the truck for a little bit of everything, towing, highway driving, off road running, but i like to take care of it, thanx

Yeah, why not...it is still a 40wt oil at operating temp per SAEJ300. If you do UOAs you should have no problem running longer OCIs.

i thought it would be fine, i jus wanted to hear it from someone else, and even if i did a uoa i would still probably change my oil every 5k, i jus like the piece of mind knowing i have good good/clean oil in the engine, and i usually only put about 5k on my truck in a year so its a once a year oil change usually, thanks
