I would say some sort of large knife, matches, those nifty pills that sterilize water so you can drink it (I think i saw those somewhere), maybe some basic medical supplies.

Then it depends on whether you are having to navigate or just survive? maybe some fishhooks or ???????? depends on area.

If I have room I always stuff a small oil or diesel soaked cloth in a ziplock when hunting makes that fire building in the snow and rain a lot easier.

Everything they have said, then once the bag is "full" start adding in hard candies to fill all the gaps and voids.

Small packet of cough/cold tablets, say enough for 48hrs.

Raid some MRE's for the TP packs, it's not much, but better than nothing.

Ditto on the hurricane lighter, they are much more wind resistant as well.

I did 27 days 24/7 for survival school at Fairchild..

Bolt knife (cut and split wood, gut large game)
flint (starting fires)
small packet knife general purpose and skinning rabbits cutting rope)
copper or brass wire, the smaller the better (snaring)
cotton balls and vasiline (mix them together and there bad ass for starting fires)
Idine tablets in a water proof bottle (make water safe to drink)
a Kanteen or water bladder (hold water, get the kanteen with a cup or bowl to cook)
Salt
stuff to dry out your feet (powder)
lots and lots of parachute cord 5050 cord (for everything)
Poncho (you would be suprised the uses of that)

Basically everything will fit in your pockets
