I moved the trans back 5/8". I only slotted the holes in the crossmember, and I'm using the vistronic fan that comes on the common rail motors. You should be fine with the same dimension if you use a Destroked plate.

Why would anyone want to put a cummins 12v in a superduty? I just can't see why, with all that is available for the 7.3 - I bet there is a 7.3 somewhere that is capable of 650hp on fuel only, can a 12 valve cummins do that? I would never consider doing such a thing, or my name isn't Sam.:D

for what big oil and a injectors cost i can have a 12 vavle and settin in my engine bay(if i do all the labor again)
then you add the cost of turbo(s), head studs, connecting rods, pistons, head work....... the 12 valve is to be had a lot cheaper, more reliable, and better fuel economy to boot:gun:

My STOCK 95 12v did twice on me. The timing was off because the dowl pin had fallen down into the timing gears & cracked the case. I sealed up the crack & was out driving it around (didn't know anyone with a timing kit). I let off the throttle & it started to rev up all by itself. I was luckly to have a good fuel shut off solonoid so it shut off when I turned off the key. Sheer luck would have it I was going down hill & my buddy's driveway was at the bottom of the hill so I coasted in to his driveway. I had to start it up again to move it & it ran away on me again trying to turn it around & once again I was able to shut it down before anything really fun happened. But check with other people who deal with 12v Cummins. I sure you'll hear of a runaway story or two. You guys can do as you wish, but my next 12v WILL get an air shut off because of the black cloud that seems to follow me around.

They usually hook em up to the sled in case the truck breaks free of the sled it will kill the engine.
