So, thats a real common thing, How many have you seen do this?Always fun when one starts to run away on you!
Haha if you screw with the pump maybe (putting my learned logic I almost learned the hardway on my 3406c Mech. pump) to use.So, thats a real common thing, How many have you seen do this?
My STOCK 95 12v did twice on me. The timing was off because the dowl pin had fallen down into the timing gears & cracked the case. I sealed up the crack & was out driving it around (didn't know anyone with a timing kit). I let off the throttle & it started to rev up all by itself. I was luckly to have a good fuel shut off solonoid so it shut off when I turned off the key. Sheer luck would have it I was going down hill & my buddy's driveway was at the bottom of the hill so I coasted in to his driveway. I had to start it up again to move it & it ran away on me again trying to turn it around & once again I was able to shut it down before anything really fun happened. But check with other people who deal with 12v Cummins. I sure you'll hear of a runaway story or two. You guys can do as you wish, but my next 12v WILL get an air shut off because of the black cloud that seems to follow me around. So, thats a real common thing, How many have you seen do this?
They usually hook em up to the sled in case the truck breaks free of the sled it will kill the engine.I think you HAVE to have one in some sled pull circuits, if'n you were to do that kind of crap
When they see the cops on the track they just jump out & run! :gethim:Never seen an engine run away, just the driver!!!
an air shut off is required in almost all sled pull circuits, and all DHRA events i believeI think you HAVE to have one in some sled pull circuits, if'n you were to do that kind of crap
