I never had any luck with casting numbers. They are like production numbers which dont mean much in the ford world

They are just casting production numbers, cant really go by them.

I am sure if I go out in the garage and get the casting numbers off my 4 B codes, they will be different again

They are all 5 leaf springs, unless you are getting a cab-n-chassis spring

Nope. they just have different rates.

It is kinda funny going by the aftermarket. the X code spring they list as " Ford X Code spring. It is the heaviest of the factory springs offered for front of the F250 and F350." rated at 2630lbs and 1 5/16"
is thinner than the 2030lb spring which is 1 13/16"

I've seen nothing but inconsistent results using after market so called Ford springs...IMO sepend the few $ more and get Ford springs from a Ford dealer.

True X codes are 3000lbs ea.
