Sunroof doesn't go all the way back until second button push

2014 F350 Crew Cab Lariat.

I recently noticed that when I hit the auto open on the sun roof, it rolls back to a little before the manual slide cover. If I hit it again, it rolls back another few inches to be about even with the cover.

Anyone else notice this or have a clue as to why it works this way?
