I'm planning on getting rid of my CA code 6000# front coil springs that came with the Snow Plow Prep Pkg (didn't need it, just happened to be on the truck I got) on my 2011 F250 Crew Cab Long Bed 4x4. Springs are way too stiff on our concrete highways, and the truck bounces horribly, even with 2000 lbs in the bed.

Looks like the standard Crew Cab Long Bed front coils are the DA code 5600# springs. The next step down is the EA code 5200# springs, which I think may be standard on the Crew Cab Short Bed.

I'm thinking that I may go with the 5200# springs because I'm not sure the step down to the 5600# will make enough of a difference.

Also, not exactly sure if the spring rating is per spring or per pair - parts guy at dealer was thinking it was per spring. Decision on which spring to go with will probably relate to the total spring rating difference for the pair.

Thoughts / opinions?

I would think that weight is pair, the truck is only rated for 6000lbs, I would go with the 5200, the softer the better.
