Depends on what size stage 1's. Smaller ones like the "tranny savers" beans sells are 130cc's, nice gain over stock and will let you run with the super duties without shelling your tranny.

True stage 1 singles are 160cc and a bit hotter. I would do a converter and valvebody at a minimum to run these.

The other mods diesel man said, as well as an electric fuel system would be nice to keep them fed.

At a minimum chip, gauges, DIY intake, a 3" downpipe and a gutted cat.

You may need to watch the egt's a little while towing if you have a heavy foot but they should not be a problem if you have a good tow program.

The stock fuel system will easily support stage 1's if the pump is in good condition...at least that's what I've been told. I went ahead and did the electirc fuel system mainly for the fuel filtration.

With the stock HPOP you will not get the full potential of the injectors when you are hard on the pedal, especially at high RPM. I am planning on putting a SD HPOP in mine soon. Maybe I'll even step up to a Terminator if funds allow.

About that should I get that stuff first then the injectors or could i get the injectors put in then get those? I have no idea. I have the chip and gauges. Im wanting to get the 3" downpipe into 4" exhaust but then going into stacks eventually along with an AFE stage 2 intake.

As long as you have a EGT gauge mounted preturbo then you will be ok if you watch the gauge.

Your TS chip may even have longer pulse width in the higher programs so that you can use the extra fuel that the Stage 1's have. If it doesn't you will not notice any power increase until you get the chip reburnt for the injectors. If you do need the chip reburnt check out the link in my signature. My truck runs like a mofo....at least thats what other people tell me. Of course I always think it could use just a little more.

Back pressure and EGT will be your biggest concern with bigger injectors and a stock downpipe.

Getting the intake and exhaust will help the EGT's. The stock down pipe is like a kinked garden hose.

Yup, its squished to fit between the motor and such and the firewall. Its probably like an 1" where its been flatten'd. Its garbage.

I have stage 1's and a hot tune. I did D/P and 4" ex. and tymar style intake, gauges before I ever had any injector work. I have added an intercooler and last December I got new trans and a purple convertor. I would get D/P tuners tunes or tonys tunes and skip the generic "boxes"(superchips, edge evo) I have had them both and lets just say even just a pcm reflash like I have now is awesome compared to the boxes. I did the super duty elec. pump and racor filter recently. Do the supporting mods before getting silly with injectors,I failed to head the warnings and fryed my transmission just a few days before the diesel drags in Baytown last year and missed out taking my truck.

Well you can get Stage Is and nothing else and the truck will run just fine. It will run just like stock. As soon as you put a chip of any kind to it you will need a bare minimum of gauges and a tranny. Any chip will get a lot more fuel out of the injectors than the stockers but to get optimum power out you will want a chip with some newer tunes. The intake and exhaust will let it breath better and help manage EGTs. Your stock fuel system should hold up fine to them as well. Though an electric system would never hurt. If you do much tow/hauling and you want to use that power you will want to get an intercooler.
