Now that my Mustang has been sold, and I've bought a travel trailer, the truck has more of a need for some rejuvenation. So far the improvements have been:

Powdercoated beadlocks and shock hoops "shocker yellow"
New tires, Mickey Thompson MTZ
GPR relay changed to the western plow mod
2001 factory tow mirrors
Battery tender mounted under the hood
New U-joints in front and rear shafts

To come:

2005 HD headlights (on order)
Powdercoated 2008 rear diff cover (and all fluids changed)
Powdercoated stock front diff cover
WW2 from Diesel site
Ceramic coated turbo housing
Re-powdercoated intercooler pipes
Check glow plug system (probably replace all 8)

Can anyone else think of some good maintenance, mild improvement stuff to look at? Any input would be appreciated. Ill try to get some pics us soon.

A bettr glow plug relay..similar to stancor.
basically the oem may fail...either of those two are more reliable.

Have you seen guzzles 7.3 site....good info
may want to look into a riff raff frx...if your not changing injectors.
also look at the dieselsite coolant filter.

hawk lts pads and powerslot brakes are nice.....def work better.

Had an alignment less than a year ago. Recently did calipers pads and rotors all the way around. Already did the coolant filter mod, could probably use a new filter though.

I'll take a look at the FRX since I need to order my pigtails from them for the headlights. And I'll take a look at guzzles too, thanks.

No, the truck isnt really chipped, a friend of mine from Ford re flashed it to firm up the shifts and added a little bit more fuel. Nothing extreme.

New HD headlights and bulbs came in today, just waiting to place my order to riffraff for some other goodies.

Get a hydra. Once you do youll wonder how you ever drove the truck before with out one.
(or a Ts chip with good tunes from a good vendor but you get the point)

I had thought about doing a DP tune before, but with the pmr's, 37s, and stock gears, Jody suggested against it.

hmm. buddys truck is doing fine with 35's, stock gears, pmrs and dp tunes. Call php see what they say. As long as tuner knows everything up front there should be no issues.

Php seems to specialize in PMR tuning.

Ordered the headlight pigtails and 6637 air filter today. Still waiting to hear back on the tunes, I think I might still do the turbo wheel.
