Server crash. They're workin' on it. Timbeaux said he thinks spammers may have been the root cause and I've seen a couple pop up on here; had to delete another one this morning. So keep y'alls eyes open and report spammers asap if you see 'em.

It was a spammer. Apparently they got in and started wailing on the stupid pager button and caused the server loads to go through the roof. We were warned about vb pager a few months back being a risk. We kept it up because folks liked it and it kinda bit us.

i think this issue has shown me the light in regards to pager messaging. as well as slowing the site down when heavily used, it seems to be a weak link in our forums and could ultimately lead to a severe crash. dont know how much longer we will keep it.

It was prolly them dam ricers. They seem to know too much about computers, and against us all the time, and since they can't beat us in any form of a "race" they turn to guerilla warfare...

If the security hole gets fixed, it should be a non issue.
