my tranny will do jump revs when shifting to another gear. i have 186104 miles on it. also when i go from a dead stop, as its shifitn to 2nd (its an auto) it feels like its just slams into gear. plus while doin that the revs will stay high for a little while then shift. seems like tranny is goin if its slippin and slamin. i bought it use a year ago and the owner before me towed ALOT with it.

My truck does the same thing. Tranny is only a year old.

Unless you have a tugger kit or other shift kit in there that is making it engage like that then yes it will burn up the trans faster. You are creating massive amounts of heat with every shift like that on top of the clutches trying to grab at the same time.

its also seems like its slipping. the revs will stay high in 1st gear i guess till it finally catches it then shifts. any way i can somewhat fix this till i can get another one?

Rebuild or replace the trans are your only options bud. Sorry for the bad news.
