Does anyone have experience with doing a rear shackle flip on an OBS Truck. If so what are the result's?Did you need to use a 2*or 4* tapered block to help with pinon angle?Did you need a zero rate block to center the axle in the wheel well?I did PMF's 3.5 in front and trying now to bring up the rear of the truck? 6" block seem's really big,I allready have B code rear springs.Any suggestion's?Thanks!

5" flat and 2.5 pmf rsk is just right. I didn't listen to those in the know and I got the 4.5 with 2 degree block, and it sits almost level.
so a 5" flat with a 2.5 pmf should equate to 6" flat with a 3.5 rsk I'd think
I'm Trying to stay away from a 6" block,if i can seem's pretty big. That's why i asked about the rear shackle flip kit? It's where you turn the rear shackle into a tension type rather then compression.
I have Sky's 3" RSK and use a 5" rear block. If going with a 6" block, look into some type of traction bar to help with the wrap up.

I have nor first hand expericae with Either of SKYS, REAR Shackle flips

but I herd enough bad to not go with them. I went with RuffStuffs REAR shackle flip. Universal Shackle Flip Kit - RuffStuff Specialties

I was MORE than pleased with the construction(way over built).

It lifted the bronco to the same height as the 4" block I removed AND it made it ride better. I had zero pinion angle issues but again, i have a bronco

Would you do this mod to a 96' CCLB i need about 2" lift over stock?

No. Because the REAR shakle flip from Sky has had such bad reviews and the RuffStuff one is 4" so you would gain nothing

But you could do the ruffstuff shackle and a 2" block
I believe you lose a lot of load capacity when you flip the shackle. I would just go with the 6" block or give pmf a call and talk to them about some traction blocks
I talked to PMF the other day about a rear shackle kit for the OBS as they offer one for the Superduty. They said they could do it but with their recent move it wasn't on their radar yet.

Maybe if you call them too asking for this they might consider prioritizing them?

And the RuffStuff looks strong, at least from the photos I've seen.
If anyone had a stock hanger bracket they could send me, I can design one in a couple of hours. If I have to go out and find a truck to take measurements off of, it will take me awhile to be able to have enough time to do it. As it is, Im here 10-14 hrs a day, lol.

PMF, do you need the front and back hangers?

If anyone has these parts for PMF I'll pay the shipping! (I want a 4" for my OBS and would really prefer to buy from PMF.)
