I have a 1997 f250 crew cab and was wondering if I can or even should update my truck body. I'd like to put a 2000 model cab and bed on my 1997 frame any idea if its doable?

My theory on things like this is if you have to ask the answer is "no". Anything is possible with tools, time, money and skills. How much will it cost? How much of a headache will it be? Will it become too hard for the average joe thus losing interest and "ruining" a perfectly fine truck? In the end i would sugest just selling it and buying a super duty. Lots of people still prefer the OBS so if its mechanically sound and in decent shape you should have no problem selling. Plus who wants a fake super duty? Might as well upgrade to a newer truck and get its full advantages rather than a old truck that just looks newer and in the end might even have costed more....

It's doable but I don't think it'd be worth the time or money when you can go buy a 2000 7.3. The super dutys and obs trucks are not direct swaps
