Any use one of these things? I don't have the factory monitor, which I wouldn't trust anyway, and would love to have something to keep an eye on mileage. Are there any data points that the scanguage would display that are specific to the PSD, or a diesel?

Just curious.

FloScan products are well considered for accuracy and reasonable cost.

FloScan stuff is mostly for boats and aircraft but they do make guages for trucks.

The ScanGauge looks too much like the factory waste of money to me.

I'll take a look at that. I am looking at things to help improve my mileage, not gonna go as far as you, but every little bit helps.

Yeah, we install flowscans on boats alot at work. Kinda neat really. You have a flow meter on the inlet side, and a flow meter on the return side, and it calculates the difference to give you a gallons per hour rate of use.

Not sure what they have to tie into the speedo sensor of a powerstroke to give you a true on the fly MPG reading tho. Never messed with the automotive side.

I checked out the flowscans and they are really expensive.
