I had an idea! Don't know if it is possible or even practical but I would like to be able to carry more diesel on my long road trips. I am thinking of adding a saddle tank from an F250 to my Ex. I would plumb it so I can just transfer fuel from it to the rear main tank with a switch on the dash. Not sure how the plumbing for the fill would work yet. Just wondering if any other Ex owners have done this. Just seems to be a cool idea. Any thoughts or experience in doing this. Let me know what you think.

I've never heard of it being done, but I don't see why you couldn't. The biggest hurdle might be trying to route the fill and vent lines, because anywhere you put it, directly above will be the cab, and you can't run them through there. So, might have to have a loooong fill line going back to adjacent the regular fill location.
