I left my freaking manual in my buddies car that I went to the parts store with....I have added one gallon of coolant and one gallon of distilled water into the bottle....it went down some, but it wont go down any further...I shut the truck off to cool down and hopefully it will go down in the process, is there something I am missing?:poke: I even squeezed the hoses(worked on th e70s fords lol) and no luck. Please hook a brother up, I need to get this thing going to head to work tomorrow morning!:bowfast:

Did you get a lot of coolant when you pulled the heater return hose off the top of the water pump? If not then you still have an air pocket and need to bleed the air out further.

Ahh, when you refill it go slow, dont try to get a gallon in there quick. The first time I did a total flush I dumped it in slow, maybe filled 1/2 of the resevoir then let it settle. This time after having the engine out I wanted to get it running, dumped it in as fast as I could and thats how I got the air pocket:doh:

while your filling it and the truck is running turn the heater on. if the truck is up to temp and no heat is coming out you have an air pocket. rev the truck up and move the water.. bring it up to two grand or so for a little bit.. i had a truck that took me over half an hr to get the air pocket out.. so

I am almost positive I dont have an air pocket....its been a week now and the heater gets hot, the tank level is where it needs to be and everything. My next day off I am going to pull the thermostat and flush the system completely, pulling the block plugs and all. That way I am sure its all flushed out and I am good to go. Thanks for all the advice!!! Now if I can figure out my tranny....lol
