Radio Replacement

This may seem out of the ordinary for several of you however I just bought and installed a boss be9acp-c unit in my 2001 F-250 Diesel 4X4 after more than twenty years of hooking up trailers the back up camera has changed my life, praise the Lord.
My only issue is the AM radio reception which is why I'm here, Overhead power lines cause this thing hell. so much static and electrical interference.. If anyone knows a solution would you please let me know. I contacted Crutchfield and they suggested a $40.00 Amplified antenna wish I had known sooner. any Ideas are appreciated.
