lost a starter,got hung up and before i realized what was going on ,it fried it.seen some on ebay but the question is this,are they all the same for the block of years that im in,or are there different configs and tooth counts....need to order 1 but need to know this first thanks.....

ok before anybody helps i have more info,pulled the starter and it's a 12 tooth..the torque converter and flex plate are of the new 6.4 (at least the tc is) anyway gregrob told me or a rad one on ebay but they are 13 tooth,the years posted on e bay for the two are screwey..12 tooth 99-oo and 13 tooth for the 01-03 so do i need the 12 or 13.......MAN!!!! help if you know need to get-er done

Call DB Electrical.....tell them which one you have and what year......they should recommend the correct one.....ask them to honor ebay price if it's higher.....

ok, got starter from db electrical,broke off stud barley touched it,said the f word alot [no help] all thease 7.3 starters,suck,ok is there a replacement solonid that isnt a pos......david

I'm interested to see how this turns out. Based on the info on the DB website, I'd say call them and request a replacement and put their 100% customer satisfaction guarantee and the "no hassle warranty" to the test.

Good luck and let us know what happens. I may need to order a starter real soon.
