We went on a Disney Cruise last May. AWESOME. Cant say enough about the way Disney does things.

That said......my bar tab was like $700.

I had my kids with us, so that was just casual drinks. Nothing stupid. Alcohol is where they get you.

$76 bucks a day for unlimited is a SMOKIN deal.

For motion sickness...we wore seabands. Seas were rough at times (12 ft) and we never needed Dramamine....

Some pics from ours....Bahamas, St Thomas, and Tortola....

The Taxis in St Thomas were sweet. They were all 08 up F450s on 19.5s.

Everynight the guy who took care of our room made stuff out of towels in the room.

Check out my kid's headband. In one of their activities they wrote what their one wish would be.LOL

sorry, my AM was a little late..LOL (I didn't say who's AM)

As for the drinks, I am cheap..so I find ways around buying them. We think of our favorite mixed drinks, like 3 or 4 and we just bring the stuff with us, they don't check for alcohol in your bags, just drugs and thats with a dog. What we did was get the big mouthwash bottles and used them to house all of the liquor and stuff, just marked what they were LOL, and yes, its a lot of work, but I'm not spending 500 bucks on 100 bucks worth of liquor, that's just silly. As Shawn said, once you are drunk, you don't care about that 9 dollar drink..so I will just stick with doing it as stated above..LOL If you can swing that, and you still want to have a beer with dinner or whatever, buy the beer card, typically (if it works like the coke card) they just ask for the card, you flash it, depending on what style it is and they give you want you want, and you can go back as many times as you want, so if you and your wife want a beer, go to the bar twice.. We did the same thing with a coke card, only buy one for the both of us and we both got drinks, I figure we are paying big $$ for the actual cruise we should get cokes any ways LOL, just another way they can stick it to you.

Also, what Shawn said is true, put money on your account, don't use a credit card to back the Sail and Sign card, because just say if there are any charges that really aren't yours on there (it happens) you have leverage, otherwise they have your credit card, but they are pretty good about fixing errors, if there are any. I also suggest if you can do it, keep track of your receipts, because with the bar staff and anyone else who gets you a drink, typically all they do is write the card number down, and its pretty easy to mess up on a digit (human error) and you get charged for something you never got. Having your receipts makes it easier.

As for the BOB (Breathable Observation Bubble) or underwater scooter its freaking awesome, unless you are claustrophobic, then it can be scary, other then that its super cool. You have to use some of the same techniques you do when scuba diving such as equalizing the pressure in your ears as you descend and stuff, but its really alot of fun, we did it either in St. Thomas or St. Marten, make sure you bring your underwater camera, we forgot ours so no pics, BOOOO!! LOL

what cruise line and ship are you going on and what Islands are you going to? Have you been on any cruises before? What kind of room did you get? How many people are going, group or you and your wife?
I should really spell and grammer check  I bolded my errors, makes reading a bit easier :pointlaugh:

Damn they check for drugs with dogs  Thanks for all the great advice, I really appreciate it. This is a family thing with My father and ??? (parents divorced), my bro and his chick, and me and my girl (Nikki) . All of us get together for stuff like this every 3 or 4 months because we don't see eachother at all if we don't. It's a celebrity cruise. All I know of the room is it has a balcany with an ocean view. Nikki is mumbling penthouse deck while I'm typing so that sounds sweet. We are going to St. Croix, St Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, Antiqua, and puerto rico. Thanks again for all the suggestions, now I'm getting exited! On edit those pics make me wanna go now! I'm gonna do 1 hardstuff package, 1 bottle water package, and 1 beer package. Can you sign up for land excursions when you're on the boat? Or do I need to do that before hand?

yes they do, and don't try to bring any drugs back either, we watched two **** chicks get caught as we were getting off the ship to go home. If you get something there, use it there :D

It will be alot of fun with a big group, just don't think you will always agree to do the same thing everyday, its best to just plan on doing your own thing everyday, and maybe trying to do some shore excursions together and eat dinner together.

Celebrity to me equals;

LMFAO, its is the best cruise line I have EVER been on..bar none. They truely treat you as if you were a celebrity, its amazing, whatever you ask for, they do it. And everyone on the staff was amazing, I am jealous..Celebrity is only here for a few months each year, We have got to go on another ASAP

And getting a room with a Balcony would be sweet. I haven't experienced one of those yet..Just outside rooms with picture frame (size) windows. A balcony will come for us one day. If this is your first cruise, you should be just fine with the Balcony room, don't start out with the best thing they have to offer, then you have nothing to look forward to. We are doing it in stages,(with an inside room never being an option:mad:) outside room first, then balcony, then on some ship larger balcony, then a suite, then they have other types of rooms, then the penthouse, which is the baler edition, and I think the Suites come with a butler too.

All of your destinations will be fantastic, I have been to St. Thomas and Puerto Rico, and I am thinking we have been to St. Lucia too, but I cant remember.

You will have tons of fun, there is so much to do on a cruise ship, bring plenty of money, because nothing is cheap, such as massages etc, etc. If you want to do a massage or something, wait towards the end of the cruise, they will have last day or day at sea specials.

The wife and I have been on 4 cruises . ( 3 on Carnival and one on Royal Caribian . The Royal Caribian was a much nicer ship and better service , but was more expensive . Any where but here is good . The swim with the sting rays @ Grand Caiman island was awsome . Cozumel sucks except for the bars .

One thing most missed: Mark tour bags...when you exit the boat and get
in the ternial to pick up bags,,,they all look the same...Took an hour first time.. then I saw ribons tied on, tape wraped around then and big collored id tags.... I then got some floresent paint and (red & Green) and neatly made two GT type strips on the tops and sides with enitals...Took less than a minute to spot my bags now...and yeah. those vacume bags work great to
keep the bagage down. We also carried a PUR water picture on board and
had some better tasting water, The wife had a kidney transplant and needs
lots of water. We went on Royal Carribeann, but YOU GATA climb that rock wall on the back of the boat...do a mile aday and get a ship shape t shirt. :rockwoot:

As stated, bring your own alcohol. I'm leaving on Saturday out of Miami and can't wait. This is our third cruise. We couldn't go last year cause the wife was preggers so I'm even more excited about this one.

How else is there besides a mouthwash bottle to bring drinks? All us can't bring huge mouthwash bottles LOL
why not? I have like 4 big bottles and 2 small bottles..see here:

Image

that was the desk, theses were always there..LOL Also I am pretty sure you are allowed to bring 1 bottle of wine with you too.

You can use 2 liter bottles too, just make sure you take the lid to insure no leaks.
