sorry, my AM was a little late..LOL (I didn't say who's AM)
As for the drinks, I am cheap..so I find ways around buying them. We think of our favorite mixed drinks, like 3 or 4 and we just bring the stuff with us, they don't check for alcohol in your bags, just drugs and thats with a dog. What we did was get the big mouthwash bottles and used them to house all of the liquor and stuff, just marked what they were LOL, and yes, its a lot of work, but I'm not spending 500 bucks on 100 bucks worth of liquor, that's just silly. As Shawn said, once you are drunk, you don't care about that 9 dollar drink..so I will just stick with doing it as stated above..LOL If you can swing that, and you still want to have a beer with dinner or whatever, buy the beer card, typically (if it works like the coke card) they just ask for the card, you flash it, depending on what style it is and they give you want you want, and you can go back as many times as you want, so if you and your wife want a beer, go to the bar twice.. We did the same thing with a coke card, only buy one for the both of us and we both got drinks, I figure we are paying big $$ for the actual cruise we should get cokes any ways LOL, just another way they can stick it to you.
Also, what Shawn said is true, put money on your account, don't use a credit card to back the Sail and Sign card, because just say if there are any charges that really aren't yours on there (it happens) you have leverage, otherwise they have your credit card, but they are pretty good about fixing errors, if there are any. I also suggest if you can do it, keep track of your receipts, because with the bar staff and anyone else who gets you a drink, typically all they do is write the card number down, and its pretty easy to mess up on a digit (human error) and you get charged for something you never got. Having your receipts makes it easier.
As for the BOB (Breathable Observation Bubble) or underwater scooter its freaking awesome, unless you are claustrophobic, then it can be scary, other then that its super cool. You have to use some of the same techniques you do when scuba diving such as equalizing the pressure in your ears as you descend and stuff, but its really alot of fun, we did it either in St. Thomas or St. Marten, make sure you bring your underwater camera, we forgot ours so no pics, BOOOO!! LOL
what cruise line and ship are you going on and what Islands are you going to? Have you been on any cruises before? What kind of room did you get? How many people are going, group or you and your wife?
