well it's time to take my smaller trailer back home.
it's a 29' bumper pull w/no slides.

what tune can i safely pull it 8 hours on?
truck's all stock other than what's in my sig.

just don't want to be stranded half way there because this trip is going to take place in the middle of the night.

thanks!

ive pulled my 37" 5er with the 275, 210, and 210TP from Spartan. Good hills and high ambient temps. Never had an issue even keeping up with 80mph traffic.

i run the truck daily on extreme, it's the only tune i get the best fuel economy with.

i've never towed anything with this truck, other than my harley and it's enclosed trailer, then i put it on tow tune and it seemed like i could have had it on extreme.

the drive will take place about 6pm thursday july 15 and it will take me until about 1-2am before i get it to my house. I just don't want something to happen because of course nothing will be open that late.

getting a custom tune is out of the budget as of right now.

so would i be OK on performance tune or just run it on tow?

I just pulled my 33’ 5th wheel from Nova Scotia to Northern PA.
1000 miles I used the Spartan 210, not the tow tune but the regular 210
I never seen any temps go up and towed like a dream. Got 11 MPG with the 12000#
Trailer tied to it. Just drive with common since and you will be fine.

i'm leaving it on the Extreme tune.
there are no hills, biggest hill would be an overpass.
all straight shot on IH10.

will i be safe? simple yes or no will be GREAT! haha
or should i de-tune to tow or performance??

Thanks guys!
sorry to bring this one back, just don't want to be stranded

It's really easy to de-tune it and be safe. Sounds like you are pretty worried about it, so I would de-tune it.

EGTs are 860. Boost is constant 23-28. So far so good.
