I actually am going with a different trailer now that's another 1k lbs heavier. And we have the same tow rating too, all 94.5-04 trucks (with 4.10 gears) had a GCVWR of 20,000lbs.
How does it handle? and the braking?

Dont know yet, I havent picked it up. But it handled my 13k lbs Stealth bumper pull pretty good, even through some of the big/long/steep hills. This trailer is another 5k lbs, so we'll see.

My guess it that will handle it just fine. In my years of towing experience, duallies help greatly with bumper pull stability, but I never notice really difference in sway or stability with a gooseneck or 5th wheel. Keep us posted!

Got the plenum test fit today, and the o-ring groove is a little out of place and needs to be moved! Unfortunately these leak, and will need to be re-done. But the test fit is pretty good and everything else looks like its going to work out pretty well. I was able to put the spyder in, and pressurize it to 40psi and just the one leak, but no blow out. I'd like to be able to make a fixture for these and pressure test them to 100psi.

I also took some advice, and will be moving the MAP sensor tube to directly in front of the outlet of the turbo, its also behind the spyder so its nicely hidden.

Stock vs New Plenum for comparison.

Got them modified and installed today, they fit, they dont leak, and they look good, so I'm calling it.

My only problem is now I have fixed all my boost leaks, but I still cant build more than 25psi of boost, and I'm getting more and more smoke and higher EGTs as time goes on. I think I'm gonna make a seperate thread for that...

Man I’d love a set of those plenums. My stock plenums are leaking and I’m just not crazy about reusing them.

Good grief Dan, those look terrible. Couldn't you at least paint them with Rustoleum or something? 😆 Nice work!!

Trailer pics. 90* turns with a flatbed and headache rack, and another pic with no air in the bags! This 3000# pin weight is quite a bit!

Is 3000 a lot for a 5th wheel?. How much does the trailer weigh?

It's great how the truck and trailer colors go together.

3000lbs is a tad higher than most. Most are in the 2-2500lbs range. This trailer fully loaded will be somewhere in the 18,000-18,500lbs, empty is 15,100lbs.
