My buddy has a pair of bars on his 08' that were too good of a deal to pass up. Now I was looking at getting a set made of the adjustable ones thing will put preload on them for when I race it. Im going to weld the front brackets on the frame instead of bolting but I was wondering are these bars just being bolted on are as affective as adjustable bars. I dont want bars that just take away some of the feel when it shifts I want working bars. Now I wonder if I take and when I go to weld the brackets on if I jack the rear(frame not actual rear) of the truck up, just the suspension not to where it lifts the tire, idk maybe a 3/4" or so and then weld them in place when I drop the jack will it have prepload on it and how much is too much? Has anyone ever done this? Any help will be helpful guys thanks alot.
