I have done an exhaustive search for info on wiring up power heated seats in a truck that did not come with them but can't find much. I know the power part is easy, basicly just a hot lead and a ground. With the heated part of the equasion I have heard many conflicting stories. Has anybody successfuly done this? Is there a wiring diagrahm on the net anywhere? Any Ford techs out there that could throw some light on this topic. Maybe a thread that explains the process? I just got a heck of a deal on a complete black leather interior and would love to get the heaters working. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas everyone.

I put power heated seats from a 2005 in my 2000. The button for heat is on the seat. I think this changed with the 2008 and up trucks. Wiring for 2007 and down is pretty easy. Get a wiring diagram and wire them up. If you can get both sides of the connector it will help. You basiclly need to provide each seat with power.

I wired the seat heat separate due to power draw. Heat will not work unless ignition is on.

Power for seat adjustment is fused from the battery so you do not need to turn the truck on to adjust the seat.
