Discussion Starter #1
I am popping the starter 30 amp fuse when the truck is hot. I replaced it once and the truck was cool and the truck would fire right up. But if I drive the truck over 100 miles and turn it off it will pop the starter fuse if I try and fire it back up. I have to undo the starter wire and hit it on the positive battery terminal to get the truck to fire back up. Is the starter on the way out?

Sounds like you got a tired starter and it's drawing to much current causing the fuse to pop.....

wouldnt the fuse be for starter signal circuit? the starter itself draws waaay more than 30 amps,i dont think this has anytrhing to do with the starter

Could also be the Starter Relay causing the fuse to pop...try swapping out the horn relay and see what happens...
