Very wierd!
My truck has been making a popping noise in the drivers side front end since the day I brought it home. It happens when I hit the brakes at about 25mph to come to a stop. It doesn't do it all the time, and is most likely the lower ball joint as that is the only loose connection that I can find.

Over the last 3 weeks this popping noise has all of sudden stopped. It just doesn't do it anymore which has led me to wonder how it has corrected itself.
I don't have greeseable BJ, but I did hit them with greese with the thoughts that it would absorb into the friction areas however the popping noise was coming from a loose jolting movement rather than a friction movement, so I don't know.

I still plan on replacing both BJ on drivers side when I have some time, but the truck drives straight, and no noise, should it still be a pressing issue??

Check your front calipers and slide pins to see if they are seized.
