Not a job for the faint of heart, you just gotta have some bad azz tools too!!! The pinion nut torques at 470LBS - 800lbs depending! (I cant remember exact specs?) but its way up there in FT LBS. I doubt a 1/2" impact will get it done.

Then you gotta pull the yoke, so you'll need some kind of puller. If you do pull it yourself make sure you mark everything for re-alignment, and put it back exactly as before.
