i just bought a used ts 6 position with a pmt code and i put it on my truck and it ran for about 5 min then shut down goin down the road. i then pulled it out and returned it back to stock and it ran fine... just wondering if that may have been a freak accident or if that means i have a different pcm code. it is the truck in my sig

are you sure the chip did not come loose in the pcm

If the PCM code is of the same family, then it should work.

For example,

You couldn't use a PCM code of PMT3 in a TDE1.

you could use a PMT3 in a PMT2 PCM.

prob came loose, did you tape it in?
pcms can be close and still work fine..ie
i used to run an 01 pmt pcm in my early 99 with nvk tunes.
not ideal i am sure but worked great for me at the time.

no didnt tape it in but i already sent it off to wildman to be burnt

when it comes back put a piece of tape on it to keep it from shifting.

well i got my chip back and i cannot believe the difference it made in my truck from my diablo chip... Tony Wildman is a badass:bowfast:

:doh:eek:nly one problem lol 2 broken u-joints, a busted up drive shaft and a mangled pinion yoke:doh:

ouch..did that in a dam rodge 1500, only added a rear end to that.
decide to roll on home in my new front wheeldrive truck.

that is how I ended up with a powerstroke.

lol ya i put a rear end in it about 6 months ago hopefully ill run out of weak links
