I was wondering if anyone could tell me why every oil filter I put on my 7.3 leaks around the seal?Just put a new 1 on two days ago and allready a leak.Anyone have any ideas

is the surface where the seal meats up smooth or is their any grooves in it?

Its on as tight as it can go but still a little leak.The one I pulled off was pouring oil out of it

Yep just lube up the o-ring and tighten the crap out of it. Also maybe try a different brand of filter to see if that does anything.
Do it with a filter wrench and see what happens. Make sure another gasket isn't stuck up there. Take a straight edge and make sure the sealing surface of the filter head is not warped. (never heard of it).
Make sure they're not cross threading.
Make sure it is the filter, and not something above the filter making it appear to be leaking.
Just ideas.
