Who has change the dipstick tube? I snapped the plastic handle off of my dipstick and went to remove the dipstick tube to change the dipstick but I cant get the SOB out!! I have removed the nut from the EGR cooler and the bolt on the oil pan that holds it into place but she wont budge. I even tried visegrips on the tube and beating it out with a hmmer but still nothing!! I havent gotten the new tube I ordered yet so i cant see how its inserted, does it have a flonge that is recessed int the pan/block??

That little metal tab that the hold down bolt goes through to the block, once the bolt is out, leave the tab down near the block, and pry under it with a screwdriver, and she should pull right out.
