I'm guessing your referring to the oil cooler that bolts to the block and has the oil filter head built into the rear header?
If so yes it will work, and will actually make it easier than the stocker as the spring for the preasure valve in the rear header is actually retained by a snap ring instead of a staked washer. So there is less chance of the spring poping out and loosing parts. I did the swap on my truck and it was very nice to have a cooler off a SD pre-cleaned and built with new seals ready to go. Just pull off old one, clean block and bolt on new one.
