What oil change intervals is everybody using that have the BO systems? Does the oil break down faster using the two pumps and running higher pressures?

I'm wondering if I can go with extended oil changes since I have an Oil Guard filtration system.

I go 3000 on the Blue Rotella. But I also like to shove a lot of boost down it's throat and attempt to get in its good graces by treating it to a nice oilchange interval, lol.

Not to mention that judging by the steam locomotive of a crank-case vent I've got, keeping fresh oil in her seems like a good idea.

It starts to idle at progressively lower and lower oil pressures as I start into 4 and 5k miles.

Just my experience.

My guess would be Rotella Synthetic. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

I run and ran 15k between changes using Amsoil. yes. I would run 15k and change the filter @ about 7.5k And not that is not why my engine puked a rod. I puked the rod after i switched to delo. :pointlaugh:

I hope Hammer gets to comment on this. He has used several different oils and found they all shear down after about 5K pretty bad, the dual pumps do have an effect on that.

I run DELO and try to get to it every 5K, I cant really tell a difference when it gets 5K on it, any higher and I can start to tell though.

How does your truck behave when it is time for an oil change?

I haven't changed my oil in over a year. Guess I should LOL
Naw, just change the filter, throw in two or four quarts of fresh, and keep on trucking. That's what Sootieoil does anyway, and he has like 1,000,000 miles on his oil with good oil analysis.

I run 4k on Delo 400 or Delo LE. Viscosity loss due to shearing is not considerably worse in my case than without the daul pumps. There is certainly an increase in shearing though. Oil samples are the only real method to determine what your OCI needs to be.
