I bought a 95 f350 turbo diesel dually the od light is blinking its a e40d with code p 1728 the things I have changed are the tc,sileniod block, instrument cluster, vss, brake light bulbs, tail and cab when I clear code it works fine till code comes back up,then hard shift starts it does not slip heres what it does now even when od is blinking when its cold it will lockup, at normal operating temp it goes into overdrive but will not lockup, I have had to drive it over 4000 miles can a broken clockspring or bad brake booster cause any of this,or can a crack in tc piston is was a used one. thanks

Cracks in the torque converter clutch apply piston are common in those years. Installing a used converter is ALWAYS a bad idea. I'm 99% certain the junk converter you put in there is the problem.
