That software will tell you everything that the PCM sees. It will also run tests. You can datalog info, paste it into XL, post the data on here so that we can see what your truck is doing. You would be simply amazed at what some of the people on this forum can tell you about your motor simply by looking at a data streem.

say you have a check engine light or your od-tow/haul light is blinking, you can hook your laptop up to the truck and you will be able to scan your truck for codes that the pcm has stored. I believe with AE it will also tell you what the code is so it will give you a pin-point spot of what is wrong with your truck.

I have a scan gauge that can do almost everything that AE can but if I need to use it on a different truck I have to pull the gauge out of my pod, its handy in the fact you dont have to carry around your laptop. but AE is better, if you own both then you are in better shape to fix or repair your truck. I plan on getting AE as soon as funds allow.

Same here, I love my scanguage, but I also want AE. I am looking at making a OBDII extender plug, that way you can just pull up beside your buddies truck and plug in with the extender.

Go to ITP to buy it. Dennis sells it cheaper than you can buy it direct from AE. He will also make sure you get everything you need.
