Well I would like to know what would be better when I dyno my truck it's 05 F350 6.0 most of the dyno's done I've seen in 3rd gear out of O/D which have all been gas vehicle. This being my first time dynoing a diesel I would like to know what is recommended or proper way of doing a proper dyno run. Thank you for your help.

When dynoing you want to use the gear with the closest ratio of 1:1, so O/D is a no go. In your situation you want to use fifth gear if it's an auto, and fifth if it's a tick as this is a direct or 1:1 ratio.

Ok thank you ya it's an automatic . We dynoed it yesterday but I hadn't done any research on how to so we went with 3rd gear. The dyno we used only read hp which was 349 at 3800 rpm. I will have to go rerun her again thank you once again
