Hey I'm new here, I'm having a issue with my 03 f350 6.0. I recently had a ficm problem truck would start good cold once it warmed up it would die. I let it sit 10 mins it would fire back up. After talking with ed at ficm repair we found the logic board was bad. I replaced the ficm truck runs great doesn't shut down I thought problem was fixed. Now when I shut the truck off it won't start back up. Here's what I have found I am using a scan gauge it has ficm syn, irp is 15, ficm pwr is 48, icp says 750. when I turn the truck off and cycle the key back on icp says 3000 then it will drop to 0 after 15 secs truck will fire back up. One other thing is the injector pre cycle doesn't seem to be cycling when key is on. Any help would be appreciated.

Check the ficm power supply relay. Also make sure you have no bad pins at any of the ficm connectors and that they are clipped in on both sides. If you hear no injector clatter with key on then the ficm is not be powered up or awake

I put a new relay in it that didn't change anything. I remember reading somewhere about listening for two clicks when you plug the connecter back in the ficm, I don't remember hearing that but I will check it out.

Thank you

Your ICP sensor sounds "flaky". Try starting and running without it plugged in.

Did you use an OEM sensor? Did you see any oil soaking on the connector?

I'm putting money on this. You're describing the exact situation I dealt with a couple years ago with my ex's truck, and the problem was the ICP.

Update
Couple things I found today first ficm wasn't clicked in all the way but that didn't change anything. Unplugged the ICP sensor found a chafed wire going to the ICP plugged back after repair nothing changed so I unplugged it again cycle key on got injector pre cycle truck ran on default pressure. Went to Ford dealer ordered new sensor try that tomorrow.
