Hey guys I have an 05 f250 harley edition. I just finished doing headgaskets after the previous owner put black onyx gaskets in it, when he deleted and studded the truck. The truck ran fine before teardown, besides the blown headgaskets. About 4k miles before i bought it the previous owner had ford put in a new hpop, 8 new injectors, STC fitting, and new stock replacment turbo. After buying the scan guage and seeing my IPR reading was 84.5% on crank. I pulled the Ipr and saw the small piece of screen misssing from the old oil cooler screen blocking it. After reinstall the truck fired as soon as it built oil pressure, but it was really cold that night and when it tried to go into high idle it started running rough and i had to cut the truck off bc i saw smoke which was just from me cracking my cac tube. Damn plastic tube. Now it wont refire. I pulled the IPR again but it had no trash on it but my reading is still at 84.5%. ICP is hitting 500psi and trying to start and the pressure continuously climbs.

My question is could the IPR valve be bad and when i took it apart and physically moved the plunger it started but has down frozen up again? Or could the sensor part be bad and by luck it started that one time? Based on the fact the hpop, updated stc fitting and oil cooler and all is relativly new and wasnt taken apart during the gasket job, why or what could be leaking...

Ipr reading 84.5 at crank
ICP 500-2xxx something psi as soon as it hits 500
FICM Main Power 49.5-50v keo
I have logic and crank and cam sensor sync
I also have enough rpms to start

unplug ICP sensor and see if it starts. If not, still could be something wrong with IPR. The duty cycle is maxed out. could still be alot of air in the system from having it all apart also.

84.5? isnt that way high. I thought around 23-30 is good. That would mean you have a high pressure oil leak somewhere.

84.5 is the default IPR full open

Im confused on his ICP numbers. Is it getting to 500+ or not??

Stand pipe could be leaking as well as an injector D'ring.

That being said usually worn injector D'ring will still allow the truck to start until oil temps rise and oil thins

Sorry the icp is getting to 500 on crank and tries to start. And the pressure continues to go up. I unplugged the icp and tried to start it, it defaulted to 1500psi and wouldn't start. I'm about to head to ford and buy an IPR Sensor. If that's not the problem, am I going after dummy plugs and standpipes? I replaced the standpipes as they came with the kit but didn't replace the dummy plugs as the o rings looked fine. Also All injector o rings and copper washers were replaced.

Sounds like you have a leak. The IPR is going to full open 84.5% just to get to build that 500PSI. They usually idle around 700psi
