Does anybody have the pro rated warranty specifics for Nitto Grapplers? The information seems to be very closely guarded or non existent. I have 27K on a 50K warranty and they are smooth in the center of the tire.

all 4? i hope not cuz i just got a set!!
Yup, all four.
Nitto advertises a 50,000 mile pro rated warranty but nobody will produce the pro rating. Here is Blowby's post on the Colorado Powerstroke site:

"When I bought my first set they touted the warranty. 27K and they were toast. They did pro-rate the tires but clearly stated that all warranties for the Nitto Terra Grapplers are no longer honored. That was about 1 1/2 years ago."

Only 3 e rated tires I know of that carry a warranty are the Good Year Silent Armor, Bridgestone AT Revos and the Pro Comp ATs. All are 50K IRRC. I have stock Revos and have had the Silent armors. They both ride great but the GYs seem to handle better I.E. seem more Sporty IMO.

295's on stock rims. That puts the rim 1/2" too narrow but they said they would be fine. My tire pressure varies but normally I run 55 front and 50 rear as long as I'm not towing. The tires are load range D but have the load rating of a E. Don't know how they get there with softer sidewalls but that's what they claim.

My first set lasted 70,000ish miles but were basically slicks when I replaced them. I currently have 11,000 miles on my second set and they still look new. I have 285/75/16's on stock rings the first time and now have a 285/65/18's on a 9in wide rim. They fit and look much better on a wider than stock rim.

The first set had maybe 5000 miles worth of towing and the second set has seen no tow duty.

Keep us up to date.

I bought the Ex with 305-16 E Terra's on 16x8 wheels. I need to get at least a pair if not the set. I was going to go with the Nitto Terra's too.

I went back to Discount Tire this morning to get a rotation and balance on the Nittos. They are willing to give me $75 per tire credit on any other set. Fair enough but I'm not ready to buy until next month. I'll start another thread about tires and who prefers what.

Nitto's are a great riding tire, but the compound is so soft they wear out FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had 3 sets of them. All 3 were basically worn out after 20K mi.:(
Thanks Greg. I'm sure not looking to begin buying a set of tires a year!! Need something to last me a couple years.
