The NW Nationals are this weekend at Pacific Raceways!

Here's the schedule...
Friday Night -
6:00pm - Track will open for camping ($10.00 fee)

Saturday Morning -
8:00am - Gates Open

9:00am - First Round of Qualifying

11:00am - Second Round of Qualifying

1:00pm - First Round of Eliminations

The run order for the day will be Pro-1, Pro-2, then Heads-Up.
Pro-1 will run out of lane 1,
Pro-2 out of lane 2
Heads-Up will follow in lanes 1 & 2.

Be sure to arrive early and get your vehicle tech'd in time for the first qualifying pass at 9:00am.

Racers planning on running the Heads-Up class will need to buy a tech card (yes, that means two tech cards if you are running Pro-1 class too) for the Heads-Up class at the gate and then visit the NHRDA booth to sign up and pay your $50 entrance fee for the Heads-Up class.

Finally got off my lazy a$$...no, wait, finally sat down on my lazy a$$ and offloaded these pics from my camera. Didnt get a whole lot, just the overall winner trucks, and a couple of the NWFD crew living it up at the Boyer Custom Truck booth.

By the way, thats Starter_kit walking his new pet dog. His name is Turbo, and he is a Garrett Mini-Pincher.

Here they are:

As for details, there was a 9.40's model A roadster with a cummins motor, and someone brought out like an old 1960's over the road tractor converted to drag truck. Ever seen 42" tall 8" wide slicks? Looked like recaps that had been shaved! I think he was running 12s? He launched from an idle. His front tires wont hold the truck back, so cant boost launch. Even from an idle he was SQUIRRLY. He told me his truck weighs in in the 7000lb area.

One of the girls got a perfect .000 light and won 500 bucks, and there were a couple of -.001 redlights, so no ducks on these starting lines!

I ran 15.80-16.00s depending on if I was on the brakes at the top end or not. I got taken out in the 2nd round by a first time racer after I gave him too much advice on how to win ;) Its ok tho, it was another ford, and he now has to rebuild his tranny hahaha.

Thanks for the pics, Daryl. Any stand-out performances? Were Fletcher or Maddog in attendance?

Fletcher was there. He ran a low 10 something standing on the brakes HARD since he's not allowed to run 9's in that truck. He gets asked to leave by the track when he does that.

The track announcer teased us that fletcher was gonna run his dakota for an exhibition pass, but it never happened.

Maddog didnt make it this year. The "Dirtymax" never got a good pass. Tons of tire shake, and finally spewed coolant everywhere. I heard someone else lost a headgasket and may have hydrolocked.

The Montana guys from G&J Performance put on a good show and were running decent times.

GTS made an appearance with his truck. I never caught what his times were, but his launches were the talk of the track. It looked like his truck was gonna explode at the line. *TONS* of wheel hop from both front and rear axles. Like it was trying to do the texas two step with 4 left feet.
