Hello and thanks for reading my 1st post
I Just bought a 2001 f250 with the 7.3 Auto 4x4 with 92k miles
I thought it would be a great solid running truck but let me start with the list of problems i have as of now
1. smokes white at start up smells like pure fuel (injector o rings ??)
2. truck was running great but the OD light was blinking so i looked under the truck and the wiring harness that runs to the tranny was mangled so i traced every wire and repaired each one now it will only run in reverse stalls in forward no more blinking OD light
3.4WD will not engage have not tryed since the wire issue
4. NO AC (low Freon???)
5. Clanking in front end sounds like a car with a bad strut
(sway bar end links?)

any info would be greatly appreciated thanks
Hugh

1. not a clue.
2. oh ####.
3. it could be the inner axle seals/ o ring on hub assembly is bad.
4. Ya low freon or need new condensor.
5. Probably ball joints. Jack up front end and grab tire and wiggle it on each side top and bottom. Any play it means u need new ball joints.

1. Sould like injector o-rings are your best bet. Hopefully not injectors themselves.
2. Recheck all of your wiring connections. Might have got some wires crossed.
3. Could have been the same issue as 2. 4WD not engaging or hubs not locking?
4. Could also be just a bad clutch on the compressor.
5. Could be anything, need to just inspect entire front end.

they will bolt up but they are a different offset and will rub bad on the springs when turning more than i'd say 75% of the wheel either left or right!

You need $300 2" spacers for them to fit correctly. The axles on the 05-07 are longer than our 99-04 from what I'm told!
